Ingredients: Pinto beans, red beans, modified food starch, vegetarian beef base (soy protein, sugar, torula yeast, spices), onions, tomato powder, bell peppers, chili powder, sugar, salt, cumin. Contains soy.
Instructions:
Empty contents of can into a large pot.
Add 6 quarts (1.5 gallons) of water or broth.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until beans are tender. (For a thicker chili, simmer for a longer period.)
Optional: Add your favorite cooked protein (ground beef, shredded chicken, crumbled sausage) during the last few minutes of simmering.
Serve hot with your favorite chili toppings (shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped onions, etc.)
